SISTER Wives’ Janelle Brown has expressed her gratitude to fans for their kind gesture to honor her late son Garrison.
The TLC star has been grieving her 25-year-old son since his tragic death earlier this month.
On Tuesday, Janelle, 54, shared a message to fans on Instagram, thanking them for their donations to a Flagstaff, Arizona, animal shelter and a local cat sanctuary, which Garrison worked closely with, in his name.
“I have been brought to tears again. I’m being told about everyone’s donations to @highcountryhumane @arkcatsanctuary in Garrison’s name,” the reality star’s post read.
“Thank you all for your generosity. It means so much. The cats he adopted from both agencies were so important to him. He loved being a cat dad.”
The post also included photos of Garrison’s three cats and one of him taking a mirror selfie with one of his furry companions in his arms.
‘A BRIGHT SPOT’
Garrison died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on March 5.
His brother, Gabriel, 22, was reportedly the first to find him at his Tucson, Arizona home.
Janelle revealed the devastating news in an Instagram post, writing: “Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.
“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him.”
The TV star continued: “His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
TLC also issued a statement to People that read: “We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown.
“We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.”
SAD DETAILS
Shortly after Garrison’s death, The U.S. Sun exclusively obtained the police report that detailed when his mother arrived on the scene.
Per the documents, Janelle stated that “he just stopped texting last night.”
The report said, “Janelle also made the comment that she should have gotten Garrison help in the past as well.”
She also remarked that Garrison was “estranged from his father,” Kody Brown, 55.
Sister Wives fans knew of Garrison’s strained relationship with his father and how he seemingly took his mother’s side in the divorce.
Janelle left her polygamist ex, Kody, in December 2022 after nearly 30 years of spiritual marriage.
Gabriel told the police that his brother “had been struggling with mental health concerns and alcohol abuse.”
According to an Instagram post by his cousin Emma Brown, Garrison was laid to rest over the weekend.
